Race Calendar
If you would like to race then our calendar shows the schedule of races in and around the region; Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Menzies, Leonora, Coolgardie, Kambalda, Norseman and Esperance. You will find that the races are well supported with Marshals, Timekeeper, Commissaire's and Club officials in attendance.
Membership
If you intend to join in on training training rides, it is strongly recommended that you become a member and purchase a license, either racing or recreational, to allow insurance cover of yourself and/or your fellow riders in the unfortunate event of an accident.
About Us
The Eastern Goldfields Cycle Club (EGCC) has its origins back in the late 1920`s when mining was booming on the Goldfields. Over the years the club boasted a membership in excess of 100 racing members. The membership reflected both the economic times on the Goldfields, good and bad, and included the exodus of Goldfields' men to armed service in World War 2.
Today the Eastern Goldfields Cycle Club retains much of its original purpose but it is far more inclusive in its membership. The Club combines both recreational and competitive activities and offers training rides throughout the week which cater for all skill levels, from novice through to A-grade riders. During the race season, the club's primary focus is on the event calendar, which caters for a wide variety of riders.
The club holds a number of training courses in support of the Goldfields Cyclassic and Community Fondo, held each year on the long weekend in June. The lead up events are aimed to encourage cyclists of all abilities to take part.
